Dawn of A New Day

Until I get it right...Photoshop and Composition.

After Work

Shutter 1/200, Aperture f/2.6, Centre weighted

The photo might describe the feeling that I got inside, right after another day at work ends.
Hue/Saturation, Levels and Curves are manipulated in Photoshop.

Golden Fountain

Shutter 1/125, Aperture f/3.20, ISO 80, Centre Weighted

Shutter 1/50, Aperture f/3.50, ISO 100, Centre Weighted

These were taken in front of SACC Mall, Shah Alam. I should have used faster shutter speed to freeze the water trails in the middle of the fountain. However, I was afraid to select higher ISO to avoid noise. There are more photos taken but let's try these first.

Heaven of Waterballs

Shutter Speed: 1/8 to 1/10 sec;
Aperture : f/2.6, ISO 80,
Metering : Centre Weighted
Macro Shot
Software alteration: Cropping, Contrast, Gamma and Saturation

I took a dedicated session in macro-shooting the waterballs on those leaves right after rain. Those are among the best snapshots.

Scooter Pt 2

I made another manipulation on another scooter photo. This time, I try to pick a portion of the photo above and compose it as if it's meant to be used for brochure, document etc.

Ignoring the background, is the composition okay or not?

Scooter

ISO 80, shutter 1/40 sec, Aperture f/5.6, Centre weighted

I touched up this shot with Photoshop using Quick Mask an Gaussian Blur for DoF effect and then Desaturation for the background ( I should've used f/2.6 instead, but it's a good Photoshop practice anyway).

Port Dickson

Before it rains...ISO 80, shutter speed 1/800, aperture f/2.6 and some cropping.

This is Port Dickson, shot just before sunrise. It actually consists of two shots stitched together ( it is not perfect as the joint is detectable with scrutinizing eyes) with each shots taken at ISO 80, shutter speed of 1/320, aperture f/2.6 and centre weighted metering.

A perfect blown up sky

One of my weakness is being too lazy to watch the light metering. Should've chosen centre weighted or spot. ISO 80, shutter speed1/320 , aperture f/5.6 and evaluative metering.

KLCC

The day's too bright. I was struggling to get the clouds just about right, no blown-ups.

Another shot at KLCC and this time, I raised the Saturation level a bit to enhance the blue sky.

Plant

Another trial and tribulation in playing with DoF. Sadly, I chose f/5.6 instead of f/2.6, resulting in a reverse concept in snapshot like this.

Flower

Shutter 1/160, Aperture f/2.6

Another Photoshop practice in using Quick Mask. The background was given Desaturate effect and the main flower was sharpened.

Port Klang

8 sec, f/2.6, ISO 80, Evaluative

Raise Contrast and Saturation a bit to reveal more colours. I used the car roof as a replacement for tripod.

This is a shot facing Port Klang, Selangor.

Fiat Bravo meters

The simplicity of a European design. There's not much cluttering, the arrangement is linear allowing direct reading.

This is Fiat Bravo 1.8 GT meter panel.

City of Kuantan

A few shots taken from a single point facing the city of Kuantan are stitched together. It's not a perfect stitch anyway as a few buildings are not stitched in correct manner.

City of Kota Kinabalu

A few shots from a single point facing the city of Kota Kinabalu are stitched together.

Gen2

I snapped a few shots of Proton Gen2 panels. The second photo was modified by playing around with Contrast and Saturation. Looks suitable for brochure though.

KLCC Lake

1/320 sec, f/5.6, ISO 80, Evaluative

This is a stitched photos from 2 separate shots I took on KLCC Lake under bright sunlight. Then I increased the Saturation level to bring up the greeny parts.

Flower

1/60 sec, f/2.6, ISO 100, Evaluative

Took a shot at the flower during DoF practice.

Skyfire in Likas

1/50 sec, f/2.6, ISO 80, evaluative

1/60 sec, f/2.6, ISO 80, evaluative

1/80 sec, f/2.6, ISO 80, evaluative

Right before sunset, I managed to capture these shots in Likas Beach, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The aim is to get the details of the clouds as much as possible. The last photo is kinda overblown but I still like the effect.

Tanjung Aru

Tanjung Aru Beach, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The aim was to get the sun ray as clearly as possible. The last two shots are touched up with increased Saturation Level. All are taken with shutter speed at 1/1000 and aperture f/5.6.

Blinding Sight

I intended to break my image sensor by taking this direct shot at raving sunlight early in the morning. ISO 80, shutter speed 1/2000 , aperture f/5.6 and a few tweaks on Contrast and Saturation.

Cloudy

I snapped this shot minutes before heavy rainfall. Shutter speed at 1/500, aperture at f/2.6, ISO 80 and a few tweaks on Contrast and Saturation.
